A musician who is proficient on
guitar and bass, Dave developed
his solid rhythm/lead guitar chops
in several rock and country bands
in New Mexico before relocating
to the valley.
He did five years with the
Hardlanding Blues Band before
striking out on his own in 2005.
Since then he has filled in with
many of the blues bands in the
valley playing guitar or bass, and
developed the skills necessary to
be a sought-after blues player.
He now fills the guitar spot for
VOODOO BONEDADDY and
promises to strum and pick his
Fender instruments until they cry
the blues.
The Phoenix Blues scene has a
homegrown artist in Robert
Jackson.
He's been blowing harp since he
was 14, and he is never going to
quit.
Over the years, he has attended
many jams, but nothing compares
to playing with a skin-tight band
like VOODOO BONEDADDY.
Some of his favorite harp players
are Junior Wells, Lee Oskar, Little
Walter, Stevie Wonder and local
legend Bill Tarsha.
He is now realizing a dream he's
had ever since he was knee high
to grasshopper. It may look easy,
but you got to work to get to this
level. See you at the top!
Born and raised in Barstow, CA,
Stan has been playing music
since elementary school.
Marching in the high school band,
he also played his trumpet in the
jazz ensemble.
During college, he dabbled with
the trombone before turning to
his first drum kit and a fascination
with all things rhythm.
Plunking the bass, he hooked up
with “FreeWheelin’” and began a
fast rise in a So Cal premier blues
band. With a bright smile and
spirit to match, Stan and
VOODOO BONEDADDY travel
the state gigging, having fun and
adventure.
Still working that day job, Stan
has 27 years in with Yellow
Freight, and in his marriage to
high school sweetheart Lisa.
